Abstract

Products and services increasingly rich in intangibles, changing stakeholder requirements and new technologies are rapidly changing the business. To respond to the complexity of these demands, organizations need to better manage their processes. This study aimed to identify how to position itself in the context of knowledge-intensive processes aimed at creating value, improving the competitiveness and sustainability of organizations. Through an integrative systematic review of the literature, it was possible to highlight the importance of human capital in the processes of knowledge-intensive organizations for value creation. In addition, human capital was found to be a common sense of vital importance for knowledge-intensive processes and for value creation.
