Abstract

The creative economy can be a way to enhance local economic development, driven by innovation environments focused on the creative needs, fostering entrepreneurship and inspiration from them. As from this perspective, business incubators have emerged focused on the creative economy, nurturing small creative businesses, artists and/or organizations. In this context, this paper aims understanding how the theme of incubators focused on the creative economy is addressed in the academic environment and, for that, a bibliometric review was carried out with data extracted from Scopus, Web of Science and Scielo databases. Through this review, a broad view was observed between business incubators and creative economy, as well as identifying which are the cradle countries of research, authors and journals that are conducting the theme between the years 2011 to 2021.
