Abstract

Urban governance requires interdisciplinary and innovative solutions that take advantage of the intelligence, knowledge and skills of different stakeholders that make up the ecosystem of cities. This study presents a differentiated practical experience, which involved the civil society, academia and the public and private sectors, in defining strategies, projects and actions to be developed in the southern region of Florianopolis. The case study on governance integrated one of the axes of the actions of the Workshop on Humane and Sustainable Smart Cities, organized by the LabCHIS, a research lab of the Department of Engineering and Knowledge Management at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, for the definition of the project for using the Fazenda da Ressacada area. The research was exploratory and descriptive, with a qualitative approach, and used the Design Thinking tool to propose an urban governance solution supported by digital tools.
